Clinical Practice.Dr. Stewart maintains a small private practice, largely focused on attachment issues, serving children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Presentations & Trainings.Dr. Stewart is a frequent presenter on child and adolescent treatment for settings from inpatient psychiatry to public school based special education programs. Presenting in the context of hospital grand rounds, regional mental health and educational conferences he is often recognized for his breadth of knowledge, energy, humor and deep commitment to the healing power of relational connection. His extensive use of metaphor and narratives allows him to connect with a wide range of audiences with varying levels of clinical sophistication. Trainings may be done in small or large groups, ranging from a one hour introduction on the topic of attachment informed milieus, to full day seminars. |
Consultation.Dr. Stewart is available for on-site treatment milieu assessment and training of clinical and front line staff in attachment informed milieu development and management. This consultation & training can apply to newly developed programs, or settings in which a milieu is struggling as marked by a high number of critical incidence, poor staff morale and frequent staff turn over. Public and private school training, consultation and crisis support services are also available. |
